You acted just like a mom. Not real or adoptive, just MOM. It’s very hard having to work & not being able to take care of the kids. But we do what we have to & things work out. Don’t be so hard on yourself. We’re all here for you!

That sounds so incredibly horrible and wretched – I would so have done the same thing. And I can only speak as an adoptive mom- though seriously I forget that is the case most days- I would freak! I don’t think you over reacted in the least- I am just sorry this happened on a solo parent night.

And as a deadline driven working mama I so feel your pain on having to leave her.

She sound like a very lucky little girl to have a mama like you. You did good Mom Zombie!

That is so scary. I would have done the exact same thing. You write with such thoughful respect of who your daugher is and from where she came. What’s so wonderful about her story is where she is now.

Oh honey. That would be scary for ANY mother, and it’s definitely not “just” an adoptive thing. Blood is terrifying, especially when it won’t stop. I don’t think you overreacted at all.

I’ll be thinking of you. And I’ll be in touch about whether or not this weekend works.
